1.        The Airbus A380 is designed to fly for 140,000 hours – meaning it could fly around the world more than 2,000 times in its lifetime.

2.       Only 20 runways in the world are now fully capable of handling A380 aircraft. Others are not long or wide enough or not technically equipped for A380.

3. The A380 is the largest civil aircraft in history with maximum take-off weight of 1235klb. It weighs 560 tones. One A380 is 72,7 meters long; this is a little bit less than two A320 in the same lane. 80 meters is the length of the wingspan of the A380. This plane provides you with an opportunity to see the clouds from 200 windows. 6,000 engineers and technicians have worked on the programme development. 10,000 bolts are inserted inside the fuselage to hold all the 3 main parts together.



4.  Many believe that A380 is the largest plane in the world. It is not! There is one more airplane called Antonov An-225, it is larger than A380.

5.  More than 3600 liters of paint is required to paint the exterior of the aircraft.



6. On 10 January 2006, the A380 made its first transatlantic flight to Medellín in Colombia.

7. In September 2014, Aerion partnered with Airbus (mainly Airbus Defence) to collaborate on designing the Aerion AS2, a supersonic 11-seater private business jet, hoping for a market entry in 2021.

8. Singapore Airlines were the first to obtain the world’s largest commercial passenger aircraft. The first flight, with 450 passengers, was made from Singapore to Sydney. The Sydney Airport authorities spent $128 million to upgrade its infrastructure for super jumbo jet’s arrival. They adapted the airport runways, the underground tunnels and the construction of special air bridges for the jet.

9.    At the 2011 Paris Air Show, Airbus received total orders valued at about $72.2 billion for 730 aircraft, representing a new record in the civil aviation industry. 

10.  If all the wiring in the A380 is laid end to end, it will stretch up to 320 miles.

Kishangarh Airport to be commissioned by August, says AAI

Kishangarh Airport AAI officials believe the new airport will cater to tourists who visit Ajmer on regular basis.
